GLSCC CAR CLASSES

GLSCC Car Classes 12/2/23

Unless noted cars are run with stock motors, wheels and gears with silicone tires. Questions on if car is legal ask Big Lare. I’ve done my best with this list. It can be updated with club vote. Most of this can be found on the club website.

Vintage F1
- Cartrix or Scaley cars from the 1950s to 1962 using NC-1 or Predator 12.5k FC-130 and using 1301 PPR narrow tires

Scaley Mid Era F1
- this was the Eagle/Lotus series cars
- 1967 to 1970 cars (Lotus 49, Eagle, McLaren M7, Brabham BT26) using Predator 15k slim can or similar

Mid Era F1 wing cars
- this was the 70s series cars with wings - any plastic chassis manufacturer

NSR F1 86/89 - this was the series cars

Ninco Classic - cars like (Austin-Healy, C1 Corvette, Cobra, Ferrari 166 and Testa Rossa, Jaguar XK120, Porsche 550, 356 and Speedster) NC-1, NC-8 or Predator 12.5 motor

NC-1 Classic - any inline or sidewinder plastic chassis(no motor pods) any gears or wheels - motor NC-1, NC-8 or Predator 12.5 - bodies should be 50s or 60s production sports cars or racing cars.

Legends
- Pioneer series cars - only gears can be changed

Hot Rods
- prewar 1941 or earlier
- modern up to 1985
- any plastic or scratch built chassis, motor NC-1, NC-8, BWA,         Jack Rabbit, MT-1 or Predator 12.5
- any gears or wheels
- cars must have interior with driver and steering wheel, lexan ok
- roadster, hard top or open wheel

Sebring Chassis
- any Monogram or MRRC series car
- stock front wheels/tires, stock frame adjusting screws, FF motor and pinion must be used
- rear wheels, axel and crown gear open but must fit inside of chassis - any guide flag, braid and wire can be used

Fly Classic
- any sidewinder late 60s/early 70s Endurance or Can- Am/Interseries car
- stock or (series cars can have Jack Rabbit, any rear wheel axel but must fit inside body, any bushings or gears can be changed but must have 13 pinion, any wire and wood guide flag can be used

Early Le Mans
- any slot car manufacturer
- series cars Ford vs Ferrari plus any car that ran from 1966-1972 (includes cars like NSR Porsche 908 and 917, Ford GT and P68, Slot.IT Alfa 33 and Matra 670, Thunderslot Lola T70 Mklll coupe, etc)

Mid Era Le Mans  3.OL
- The 3.0 L prototypes that ran from 1968 to 1981
- cars like slot.it Ferrari 312PB, Matra 670 and Alfa 33, NSR Porsche 908, Fly Porsche 908, Falcon Porsche 908, SRC Porsche 907 and Ferrari 312PB are just a few in this class

LMP
- Le Mans prototypes that started racing in the 90s
- cars like slot.it Nissan R390, Audi R8C, Porsche 911 GT1 Evo, McLaren F1 GTR, Audi R18, Lola-Aston Martin, Lola B9/11/12 - NSR Audi R18, NSR Mosler - Revo Ferrari 333SP - Scaley Audi R10, Porsche RS Sypder, Peugeot 908, Lola-Aston Martin - Ninco BMW V-12, Acura LMP2, Audi R18 - Avant Slot - Audi R10, Pescarolo, Peugeot 908, Porsche RS Spyder, Mirage, Kremer, Lotus

Daytona Prototype
- Original Fly inline cars, Racer Sideways cars, Scaley sidewinder cars

Scaley GT
- Scalextric cars like Aston Martin DB9 or Vantage, Audi R8 LMS, Bentley Continental, BMW Z4, Corvette C6R and C8.R, Dodge Viper GTS, Ferrari F430 and 488, Ford GT-R and GTE, Jaguar XKR, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lotus Evora, McLaren F1 GTR and MP4-12C, Mercedes SLR and AMG, Nissan 370Z and Porsche 911 GT3R, 997 GT3, 911 GTE

Carrera GT
- Carrera cars like Ferrari 458, 575 and 599, Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, 997 GT, GT3 and 918, BMW Z4 M, GT3, M4 and M6 GT3, Mercedes McLaren SLR and AMG, BMW M3 GT2, Audi R8 LMS, Corvette C7.R and C8.R, Ford GTE and GTLM, Lamborghini Huracan, McLaren 720S, Aston Martin Vantage, KTM X-Bow GT2

Group 5
- Sideways cars
- BMW 320, BMW M1, Ferrari 512BB, Ford Capri, Ford Escort, Ford Mustang, Lancia Beta Monte Carlo, Lancia Stratos, Nissan Skyline, Porsche 935, Toyota Celica
- you can run other manufacturers but Sideways seem the fastest.

Group C
- slot.it cars
- Porsche 956 and 962, Jaguar XJR 9, 10 and 12, Lancia LC2, Mazda 787, Nissan R89, R90 and R91, Sauber Mercedes C9, Toyota 88
- you can run other manufacturers but slot.it seems fastest.

JGTC
- Japan Grand Touring Car Championship
- ran from 1985 to 1998. Ninco - 350Z, Supra, Mosler, M3 - Scaley - Skyline, 350Z, Supra
- Possible after club vote - Ninco CLK - slot.it Skyline and McLaren F1 GTR

DTM
- Ninco, Scaley, slot.it, SCX

Rally Car
- Car should have a driver and navigator
- possible after club vote - two classes - solid chassis and motor pod chassis - that way the new NSR cars don’t obsolete the older Ninco and Fly cars.

Classic NASCAR
- Monogram or Carrera cars 1963 to 1971
- stock wheels and gears
- motors can be changed to a Hawk 18k
- wire and guide braid can be changed

80s NASCAR
- Scaley 1986 Monte Carlo or 1986 Thunderbird Modern

NASCAR
- 1990 to present cars by SCX, Scaley and Carrera

Can-Am
- cars that ran the original 1966-1974 series
- NSR Porsche 908, 917 and 917/10k or Ford GT40 Mkl
- Thunderslot Lola T70 Can- Am and T70 Mklll coupe, McLaren Elva and McLaren M6
- slot.it Alfa 33, Chaparral 2E, McLaren M8D, Ford GT Mkl
- these cars seem to be the fastest - you can also use other slot car manufactures with same body style

Classic Trans-Am
- “pony cars that ran from 1966-1972
- Pioneer Camaro and Mustang
- Scaley 69, 70 and 71 Camaro, 66, 69,70 and 71 Mustang, 1967 Mercury Cougar, 1970 Dodge Challenger, 1970 AAR Cuda, 1971 AMC Javelin
- SCX 1970 Cuda
- these seem to be the most raced cars - other slot car manufacturers with similar era bodies can be used

Modern Pony Cars
- 2005 or newer Camaros and Mustangs
- these were series cars or can be run stock

IROC Camaro
- Scaley 1984 IROC series cars

Womp
- Parma or Champion Womp stock cars
- motors slot.it boxer 2
or NC-5 or similar 21.5k
- gears 9/31
- rear tires are free

Viper Class
- George’s new class see parts list on website
- any plastic hard body

H&R
- 1/24 H&R ready to run chassis kit with slot.it Boxer 2 motor
- rear tires are free
- 1/25 or 1/24 hard plastic body of your choice

Front Motor
- this class is for any car that has the electric motor near the front axel driving the rear wheels by a drive shaft allowing a full interior.
