Well guys, It seems I'm the worst series organizer ever. When I made the changes to the schedule back in February I overlooked an event that I have to attend on April 23rd (the current date for race 6 of the series) I considered the event when I made the original schedule, but missed it when I juggled everything around because of Valentine's day and Roberto removing his track from the series. If it were any of the six races in the series other than the final, I would just skip it and take it as a drop. As it is the final I would really like to be there to present the awards for the series. That said we are moving race six back one week to April 30th. I've spoken to Gary to see if he wanted to move the first race of the Under Three Litre Lemans Series to the 30th as well or stay with the April 23rd date. He said he would rather move it to the 30th as well to keep the end of our series and the start of his on the same night. The good news is we al have one more week to work on our Three Litre cars. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. The next time I organize a series, I promise to do better.

Thanks Ken for your series. No problem for me making the 30th. Planning and running a series is a lot of hard work and I'm sure that the whole club appreciates your effort.

I appreciate everyone who takes the time out of their day to put together any race series. It takes time, effort, organization, and commitment to put it all together for a hobby. thanks to all who have tried doing it.

Hey All,

Yep, The 2016 GLSCC Group 5 Series is FINALLY in the books. After 6 races with 2 drops, Rich Drejcek was first in the points standings, Yours truly was second, and Denny Moscatelli was third. For the complete finishing order, see the News section on the home page or the results archive thread. You can also see them on the club's Facebook page. I'd like to thank everyone who participated in the series as well as the track owners who hosted the races. My apologies for the delays and rescheduled dates. Some of them were on me, some of them couldn't be helped. As for my part, I will do better next time. Denny and I would like to make this series an annual event. Both of us just love running the Group 5 cars.

Jack, Denny and I are the three newest members of the club. We still have a whole lot to learn. I know I speak for all three of us when I say we are having a ball racing with you guys. We are quite the collection of characters, aren't we? Yeah, we're all just little boys with our own set of circumstances, problems, and egos. We all have different personalities, and habits. So, yeah, we might get frustrated with one another from time to time. The bottom line is we need to put the BS aside and just enjoy our hobby together. We are after all, a group of friends who are lucky enough to be able to share our love of racing scale model cars with each other. We need to appreciate what we have. At the end of the day, it's really all about good times with good friends. I'll get off my soapbox now and say good night. Hope you all enjoyed the series.
