David, I will step out of line and say all "non-series" races are pretty lax as far as rules go, as long as you are close. In this case, I would say this would refer to box stock rules. But, I think you'll find there isn't a great deal of difference in performance across the many Fly series we have run.
Box stock is what is used for the Fly Classic series. Stock motor, gearing , and wheels. However like Ken said, the support races are kind of liberal when it comes to the rules. Some of us have cars where the wheels could not be saved and put metal wheels on them. Older Fly cars were prone to cracked pinions and wheels so bad they could not be trued.
