In attendance were: Neal, Frank, Rich, Gary, Ken, Kevin F., Greg K. and Allen.

Ninco has asked the club to put on a regional qualifying race. Ninco has requested that all the regional races be run in a hobby shop this year. So the club accepted the invitation and Al’s has agreed to allow us to run the race there.

The club has also been approached by the SCX National Marketing Director to put on one of the SCX national series races. The club accepted again. We have yet to decide on a location.

Both races will be nationally advertised by the respective manufacturer. We are currently looking at running both races in September to give us time to make arrangements and hopefully let the advertising generate interest.

Allen has located a company to do the embroidery on our shirts for us. We are looking at $30.00 per shirt. We will start collecting funds this Friday at Greg’s. All funds will have to be paid before we can get the work done. So, the sooner the better. I know Ray still needs a shirt, and somewhere I have at least one more name written down for a second. If you did not receive a shirt at the Winter Jamboree race and would like one, please reply to this post a.s.a.p.

Not a good showing! I would have attended. Am I alone in having missed any notification? I see it is on the calendar but I don't always look at the calendar. I check the discussion forum every (week)day and don't recall getting a notification.

Was there a disconnect? (or did you just not want me there?) ;)

Well, some guys did complain that you smelled funny the last time.:D

But I'm pretty sure Neal had it on the home page for a while, and then back on May 27th he posted about changing it from Wednesday to Tuesday.

One of the things we did talk about was posting everything on the message board, races, meetings, everything. The race posts will be the responsability of the track owner, and it's also up to them to decide if they want guys to rsvp or not. That way you won't have to look at the calendar to know what's going on. I've also noticed occasionally when you click on "NEW POSTS" on the home page it will tell you there are none, when you can see that there are some that you haven't seen before.

Also for future reference, club meetings are the second Tuesday of every other month (the next one being August 13th), unless that's the week that Neal and I are in Michigan. We will advise.

I hear that! I'm working on honey dos or the old Chevy when the weather's nice, but will continue to monitor the web site.
